This is the Oxford Russian Club created in 1909 by Prince Felix Youssoupoff. Our Club is one of the oldest national societies at Oxford and it addresses Russianists, Russians and those interested in Russia/Russian affairs alike. The Russian Club hosts a great selection of events, ranging from socials, to speaker events and Russian language classes. All our events are in English.
Our Club has been an politically non-allinged organisation since our constitution was changed in 1951, by our president at the time Michael Glenny. As such the Oxford Russian Club does not make statements of a political nature as an organisation, and gives platform to guest speakers of diverse backgrounds and opinions.
Furthermore, our association frequently collects money for charities that work in Russian-speaking states through fundraiser social events.
