We're pleased to share that following the pilot review by the Transformation Committee we will be continuing the CCR pilot into next academic year, recognising the importance of this space for representing Common Rooms collectively. Thank you to those representatives who attended the Transformation committee meeting to feedback on their experiences.
At the last CCR meeting, 19 Common Rooms voted on motions, but we didn’t reach the number (35 Common Rooms) needed to formally pass these decisions. That means these votes will be treated as indicative for now, and they’ll return for formal voting as ‘below the line’ items at the first CCR in Michaelmas.
Why does this matter? Without enough Common Rooms taking part, we don’t receive official mandates. If you want your Common Room’s voice to be heard in decisions that affect you, make sure your Common Room gets involved next term!
Looking ahead, we can confirm the dates for the CCR Michaelmas 2025 meetings:
-
Week 3 (Tuesday 28 October 2025)
-
Week 7 (Tuesday 25 November 2025)
All motions and unconfirmed minutes from the Week 7 CCR are available on our website.
Thanks again to everyone who’s participated so far- have a fantastic Summer Vac and we’ll see you all in Michaelmas!
